Ezra Brain, Teaching Artist

Ezra Brain is a director, writer, and teaching artist based in NYC. Ezra was born in Kansas City and grew up in North Carolina. With mainstages, Ezra is excited to help spread the love of theatre!

Lashauna Carr

Lashauna Carr, Costume Design

Lashauna's passion for art began at age 9 when she became fashion editor of her class newspaper. She attended Fashion Industries H.S. in NYC and earned a BFA from Syracuse University in 2006.  She has designed for Totem Pole Playhouse, Parsons Dance, Hasbro Toys, International Playthings, Toys R Us Times Square and The Children's Acting Academy. She works and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and son.  Check out Lashauna's apparel company for children, Freshkidnation

Eva Casey, Teaching Artist

Eva is an actress and singer who does improv and sketch comedy at The PIT. She traveled solo around the world for over a year, seeing some amazing sights and writing about her adventures. Eva hopes to help young artists develop their unique talents.

Gianna Cioffi, Performer

Gianna is a New York state certified Theatre Teacher who has recently received an M.S.ED in Educational Theatre from City College. She is passionate about the medium of immersive and interactive theatre for children, and is thrilled to be part of mainstages as a performer.  

Maya Evans, Teaching Artist

Since earning her BFA from NYU Tisch, Maya has worked as a performer, director, producer, and teaching artist. This summer, she directed four musicals for the youth academy at the White Plains Performing Arts Center. Maya is a Musical Theatre Factory affiliated artist and a member of the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater Company.

James Higgins, Teaching Artist & Accompanist

James has been a professional musician since he was 14, and has performed on all 7 continents. He is originally from Montreal Canada, and has lived in New York for 7 years. He loves working with young talented kids, and learning from them!

Filip Jeremic

Filip Jeremic, Performer

Filip is an NYC-based award-winning comedian, actor, and comedy writer. He spent his formative years in Toronto, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre from Ryerson University. Filip relishes teaching children about character and comedy through his performances.

Ryan Johnson, Performer

Ryan is Detroit Native, a master artist and passionate educator. He graduated with a BFA in acting from Southern Methodist University and MA in Educational Theatre from NYU. Ryan enriches the lives of students by providing opportunities for arts engagement on artistic/educational platforms.

Clara Kundin

Clara Kundin, Teaching Artist & Performer

Clara Kundin received her B.A. in theater from St. Olaf College and continued her studies at the École Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Clara is the executive director of Rebel Playhouse, an educational children's theater, and the associate education director for The Ume Group. As an actor, she has performed for Creative Time, Torn Out Theater, the Guthrie Theater, and many more. Clara is thrilled to be continuing work with Mainstages. www.clarakundin.com

Marcelle LaBrecque, Performer

Marcelle is a musical theatre actor and drag queen in NYC. After the hills of Massachusetts grew too small for this musical star, the 6 foot actor moved to the Big Apple with even bigger dreams! Marcelle currently works as an LGBTQIA+ activist and community  mentor, and hopes to share their love for the arts with audiences of all ages for many years to come!

Olivia Montaudouin

Olivia Montaudouin, Director of Foreign Language Programming

Olivia has over 15 years experience in foreign language administration and teaching.  She grew up in France, studying linguistics at the Sorbonne.  She oversees the dual language Detective Lingo performance series, where she uses her expertise to develop age-appropriate vocabulary and innovative program ideas. Noam Oren, Teaching Artist & Performer

Noam is a current Psychology major at Columbia University. He's originally from Israel, where he served as an officer. Noam hopes to pursue a carrier in education and storytelling, to inspire the next generation to strive for their best selves.

Eric Rosenblatt, Teaching Artist

Eric graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2018 with degrees in theatre and political science. He is a life long New Yorker with a love for acting and directing, having first performed on stage at the age of 9. His goal is to spark the imaginations of these kids, with the hope of learning as much from them as they do from him.

Sarah Spangenberg

Sarah Spangenberg, Teaching Artist & Performer

Sarah has spent the last few years as a teaching artist and performer in Philadelphia in NYC. She has taught Pre- K, Musical Theatre, and is involved heavily in Jewish education including work with mainstages as the Theater Director for Camp Twelve Trails, a director, and a performer. Sarah graduated with a BFA in Theatre Arts from The University of the Arts.

Jas Spencer

Jas Spencer, Teaching Artist & Performer

Jas grew up in Vermont and moved to New York City to pursue his love of acting. He is a graduate of CAP21 Conservatory and recently completed touring with Missoula Children's Theater for 15 months, including overseas. Special skills include bad jokes, and knowing WAY too much about Star Wars.

Kāli Therrien, Performer

Kāli recently graduated from Pratt Institute with a M.F.A. in Performance Studies. In NYC she also performs with Alice Farley Dance Theater and Circus Amok! She hopes to introduce the performing arts to more people and make it more easy accessible within communities. 

Gareth Tidball, Performer

Gareth holds a degree in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She is an actress, teaching artist, and founding member of the all-female clown troupe The Pupils. Gareth is passionate about empowering young students through arts education!

Aaron Tien, Teaching Artist & Performer

Aaron recently graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a Media & Communications degree. He is born and raised in New York City and gained a passion for Theatre at the age of seven when he saw his first Broadway production of Beauty & The Beast, and told himself "I want to do that!" Since then he has performed in various productions and was Vice-President of his universities hip-hop dance team. He has joined mainstages as an actor and teaching artist and is ecstatic to work closely with your kids and inspire them to love theatre as much as he does.

Darya Warner

Darya Warner, Scenic Design

Darya is a renowned artist whose works consists of drawings, paintings, and three-dimensional installations all connected to each other in sequences of transformations.  Her work has been on display in installations and galleries across the country including The School of Visual Arts, SCOPE Miami Beach, and many more.  Darya enjoys working on mainstages set design, creating hand painted works of art that evoke the spirit of expression and art in children's theater.  You can see more of Darya's work here.
