Naomi Asch- Theater Director, Samuel Field Y

Naomi is a performer, stage manager and teaching artist hailing from Lindenhurst, NY. She loves helping children to become more empowered, uninhibited, and emotionally intelligent. Here’s to a phenomenal summer together! Learn more about Samuel Field Y

Christina Ashby- Theater Director, Emma Kaufmann Camp

Christina holds an MFA in directing from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University. She is originally from Alaska, a great state that inspired her love of theater and storytelling. Christina believes in the power of collaboration and risk-taking and hopes to instill that love in her students. Learn more about Emma Kaufmann Camp

Mara Atzenhoffer- Theater Director, Goldman Union Camp Institute

Mara graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Management. She grew up going to GUCI as a camper, and always dreamed of returning to direct the theater department. Mara hopes to change the way our campers see theatre and provide them different ways to connect to the work versus just reciting words or singing a song. Learn more about GUCI

Danielle Aucoin- Theater Director, Camp Twelve Trails

Danielle is a teacher artist who is currently attending City College of New York in their graduate Educational Theatre program. She grew up in Massachusetts and has been performing ever since she can remember. She hopes that her students come away with a new found confidence in themselves and an appreciation for the theatre art form. Sarah Bialkin

Gianna Bartolini- Theater and Dance Specialist, Bender JCC of Greater Washington

Gianna is currently a Dance BFA, Arts Management BA at Purchase College, SUNY. She is originally from Montgomery County, MD where she grew up immersed in dance and music thanks to supportive family and teachers. Moving forward, Gianna hopes to continue dancing professionally, create dance media, and spread her love of the arts to children and families. Learn more about Bender JCC of Greater Washington

Kari Brantner

Kari Brantner - Dance Director, Harbor Hills Day Camp

Kari is a 5th grade teacher and dancer from New Jersey.  I have been working at HHDC for 5 years and I am very excited for what this summer will bring in our production of Legally Blonde Junior. Learn more about Harbor Hills Day Camp

Macy Earley- Theater Director, Lake Bryn Mawr Camp

Macy is a senior at The University of Tennessee at Martin where she will be graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre in December 2019. Macy has lived in Tennessee all her life and grew up doing theatre and music, where she specialized in percussion and voice. Macy plans to obtain a MA in Theatre Education and teach in inner-city schools. Learn more about Lake Bryn Mawr Camp

Hillary Freedman- Theater Specialist, Westside JCC

Hillary graduated from USC with a BA in Dramatic Arts. She grew up in Los Angeles, where she did many local productions and attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Geoffrey Goodridge- Photography Specialist, Camp Twelve Trails

Geoffrey wants kids to be moved by themselves, and each-other. To not just take pictures, but experience the power of creating them - as individuals or a team, while inspiring others. Learn more about Camp Twelve Trails and their partnership with mainstages

Connor Graham- Theater Director, URJ GUCI

Connor graduated from the University at Buffalo with a BFA in Theatre Performance. He works as a professional actor, director, magician, teaching-artist, and hypnotist. Connor hopes to perform for and educate student-artists all over the world. Learn more about GUCI

Benjamin Gurin- Theater Specialist, Sprout Brooklyn

Ben concentrated in Theatre at Hampshire College. He started acting and writing as a child. He plans to continue pursuing theatre education in various settings. Learn more about Sprout Brooklyn

Brittany Hughes- Theater Director, Camp Kehilla

Brittany graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelors in Theater Studies and holds an Associates Degree in Secondary English Education. She also performs all over Long Island in community theater and just finished the premiere musical theater production of Little Shop of Horrors at the Boulton Center for the Performing Arts as Audrey. She hopes through her classes to encourage her students to unlock their imaginations and embrace the beautiful beings that they are through the theater lense. Learn more about Camp Kehilla

Ryan Johnson- Camp Twelve Trails, CREATE Neighborhood Coordinator

Ryan is Detroit Native, a master artist and passionate educator. He graduated with a BFA in acting from Southern Methodist University and MA in Educational Theatre from NYU. Taylor Ann Krahn- Theater Supervisor, mainstages Theater Camp

Taylor Ann is a NYC-based theater artist and children's theater director.  After graduating from Hope College with a BFA in theater and creative writing, she toured with Missoula Children's Theatre for a year before moving to New York City.  She is thrilled to join Mainstages for the inaugural summer of their own theater camp. Carla Lerner- Theater Specialist, JCC Manhattan

Carla graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a B.A. in Narrative Studies, and is also an alumnus of the Michael Howard Studios Conservatory. She grew up in sunny California, where her love of theater was first sparked by summer camp. Carla can be seen performing at the PIT with The Magical World of Improv. Emma Magnus- Theater Counselor, mainstages Theater Camp

Emma is currently a student at The New School College of Performing Arts-School of Drama. She is from Long Island and has been doing theatre since she was 8. Emma has since grown a love for instructing and guiding young actors and is currently pursuing that as well as a career as an actor. Learn more about mainstages Theater Camp

Ariel Marcus- Theater Specialist, Staten Island JCC Summer Camp

Ariel is a graduate from Oswego State University with a Theatre and Graphic Design degree. She had had the opportunity to work with theatre companies along the east coast. During the school year she is a Teaching Artist and Director of the repertory company of IlluminArt Productions (Staten Island, NY). Makena Mueller- Theater Specialist, Emma Kaufmann Camp

Makena is currently a junior studying at NYU Tisch School of the Arts for Drama. She is originally from San Francisco, CA, where she began her acting career. Kristin Nemecek-Jones- Theater Director, mainstages Theater Camp

Kristin graduated from Hofstra University with a B.F.A. in Performance and has been working as an actor, choreographer, and teaching artist ever since. She lives in NYC with her husband, Cory and cat, Destiny. She hopes to empower young people through the performing arts! Learn more about mainstages Theater Camp

Gabriella Preston- Theater Counselor, mainstages Theater Camp

Gabby is currently pursing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Molloy/Cap21. She is original from New York and has always had a love for theatre. Gabby is excited to impart her knowledge and love of theatre this summer.

Bianca Puorto- Theater Director, Mid Island Y JCC Day Camp

Bianca holds a Bachelor’s of Arts & Science in Journalism from Concordia University in Montreal and an MFA in Directing from the Actor’s Studio Drama School in New York City. She has also trained with The LAByrinth Theater Company. Guided by her journalism roots, Bianca is devoted to presenting real life stories in a creative forum, in an effort to make world events more accessible to the general public. Luci Samp- Theater Director, Harbor Hills Day Camp

Luci graduated from the College of William & Mary with a BA in Theater.  Her first role onstage was in an original summer camp musical where she played Alice Cooper.  Luci recently got her Certification to teach Theater in New Jersey and plans to teach full time. Renee Shubert- Theater Director, Vacation Village Day Camp

Renee obtained her Bachelor's in Theatre from Five Towns College in 2017. From Queens, NY, Renee is an active singer, actor, and theatre technician hoping to teach production to children and give them a basis in theatre to enrich their lives. Learn more about Vacation Village Day Camp

Maxwell Smith- Theater Director, Camp Mountain Chai

Maxwell was born and raised in Syracuse, New York where he taught theater enrichment to urban youth. His goal is to become an Arts Administrator. Learn more about Camp Mountain Chai

Matthew Turkle- Theater Specialist, Sunrise Day Camp Weschester
